If it doesn't kill you, It will make you stronger.

“Life can be sooo hard at times” that was a true statement, but sometimes we tend to make it much harder, that's the fact! In other side, altough we made it harder, but still, we can deal with it. interesting aite?

I was always amazed at the inversed changes of the human spirit in the midst of misfortune. Although they were hard pressed to realize it because of the trauma of whatever befell them, most people demonstrated amazing strength! (Salute! Cheers!)

Stress? (I've searched in Wikipedia because i can't interpreted it by my self) I would define stress as the result of an event that occurs over which we have little or no control. So It would seem that the keyword here is “control”. The more that we need to maintain our need to be in control, the less able we are to deal with whatever the stress is that might come our way, Agree? The reason for this is that our control tends to limit our ability to accept what has happened. The reality of the incident is, of course, very difficult to accept. However, it did happen! Wow. Once we can accept reality for what it really is, we can then begin to apply whatever remedies to the incident that might be necessary.

Most of us, have a great deal of difficulty accepting reality and try to change it. We call that avoidance. It’s like a “temporary fix” that helps us to feel better for a short period of time (only for a "short-period", bold it!). Avoidance is a normal, natural humance that allows us to recover from certain traumas. However, i’m talking about those who tend to use avoidance as a “way of life” that can severely incompatible with their life. We need to be aware that avoidance doesn’t change the reality of what happened at all and, if time is the fundamental in dealing with a situation, then we’ve “boxed ourselves in” by doing that.

Sorry for my repeatedly digress. I dunno what i should write furthermore.

  1. Wow! I am the first person to comment on this. Hmm let see, I like when you say avoidance is a temporary fix. I happen to be a person who avoids everything that I don't like. Thus this behaviour of mine is making my life seems 'unprofessional'. So i change my life from being a person who likes to avoid things to a person who likes to procrastinate, Now I'm going through somekind of force of procrastination. Althought it still not the 'best' way but it is better than avoiding things. Lastly, wise man once said "better to be late than never" rephrase that as "better to procrastinate than avoiding" :p

    I like your blog!!

  4. procrastination is a (temporary) form of avoidance as well lho... and this might not look obvious, but commenting this is an example of my procrastinating habit :-) oh well, reading your posts is far more interesting than studying anyway, haha.

but yes, i definitely agree with you that avoidance isn't the answer to any problems.

  5. although procrastination is a "temporary" form of avoidance, but "permanently" procrastination its better from that one! like the first anonim said above, "better to be late than never" rephrase that as "better to procrastinate than avoiding".
